Easy flight to Fort Lauderdale to start our journey to Ecuador. Instead of staying at the Fort Lauderdale Airport we got transport to Dania Beach, ten minutes away. We spent a couple of hours at the beach. Just long enough for the girls to get crispy! We got Uber Eats to deliver Chipotle to the beach, Chris and Annie hit the bar on the pier and we were back at the airport in time to meet Eileen and Simo. We had an early dinner at a Cuban restaurant in the airport, Casavana. It was a nice, relaxed, pre-flight experience.
Our arrival in Guayaquil was close to midnight, almost an hour late. Unfortunately our driver was nowhere to be found. Another driver near the taxi pool called our hotel to find our driver. This was our first experience with the Ecuadorian people being very friendly and helpful!
